European food store in Ipswich granted licence to sell alcohol from 7am

European Food Store, St Helen’s Street, has had its application for a licence to sell alcohol approved by Ipswich Borough Council.

The convenience store, which specialises in Eastern European food, did not have permission to sell alcohol previously.

Under the conditions of its new licence, in the name of Sardar Jalalzadeh, the St Helens Street store will now be permitted to sell alcohol from 7am until 11pm every day.

New opening hours have been granted to accommodate the change, with it now able to open its doors an hour earlier than previously.

According to Companies House, European Food Store was taken over in August of this year by Sultan Food Store, a limited company set up by Mr Jalalzadeh.

Last month a café on St Helens Street, Golden Coffee Regent, also applied to Ipswich Borough Council for a new alcohol licence.
