
The front of Hamilton Fish and Chips, in Felixstowe’s Hamilton Road, was smashed following the crash just after 10.35pm on Tuesday.
It was confirmed by a spokeswoman for Suffolk police that officers from the force attended, as well as the ambulance service, Suffolk Highways and a structural engineer.

The building was assessed, and a road closure was put in place until 1.30am on Wednesday while fuel was cleared from the road.
The fish and chip shop has now announced that, due to ongoing repair work, it will remain closed until further notice.
It further thanked customers for their understanding following the incident.
Pictures taken at the scene showed the front of the building had been severely damaged, with bricks laying loose on the ground after the collision.
